No more ‘bling-bling’ PSG

After an underwhelming season, Paris Saint-Germain’s summer overhaul has been defined by a drastic change in tone. “Dreaming is one thing, reality is another,” explained club president Nasser Al Khelaifi to Le Parisien. “These days we have to be realistic. We don’t want to be flashy or bling-bling anymore, it’s the end of the glitter.” Mirroring the City of Light’s glamour, Paris’ ostentatious “bling-bling” philosophy has defined the QSI era and Al Khelaifi’s lurch across football’s ideological spectrum was astonishing.
