THE UNDERVALUED CONTINENTAL – BUT FOR HOW LONG?

Many informed observers have been telling us that the Bentley Continental R and its close relations are excellent buys at the moment. This seems to apply not just in the UK but in America too – see our feature on page 50 for more on that. Amongst those R, T, S and SC models, there are various special editions, though few as rare as the Chatsworth.

Only ten were built, of which the car in our photos is number seven, though in fact those ten include a couple of Continental Ts and an Azure, according to information on Marinus Rijkers’ excellent website, . The Chatsworth is a Dealer Limited Edition and features many cosmetic changes from standard, including Chatsworth Silver paint from Bentley’s special colours
