Rossi finally ends his wait

Will Power has moved into the 2022 IndyCar championship lead after last Saturday’s race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. But he is too smart to make predictions about what may occur in the remaining four races. As he put it: “Try and pick a winner each week and try and pick a polesitter: impossible.”

Who had Arrow McLaren SP driver Felix Rosenqvist on their bingo card as polesitter in the series’ second race of the season on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn road course at IMS? And who of the few who called that correctly also picked Alexander Rossi of Andretti Autosport as race winner?

AMSP did take pole for this late summer event last year via Pato O’Ward, and he and Rosenqvist occupied the third row here in May of
