Luke Bucksey grew up in south Suffolk, watching the farming unfold at the back of the family home in Glemsford. After being made redundant from an engineering firm, he went self-employed for a year and then moved to Lawshall in 2004.

Since then, he has been “playing at haymaking” with a group of friends. They had been using bigger and bigger vintage machinery until the decision was made to sell up or continue commercially. Luke now has a workshop at Ray Debenham’s Coopers Farm in the village where he services equipment and is building a steam engine. He has been running the project to grow
