WRITING this article while in the midst of a bout of covid, I have reflected on how fortunate I am in having a hobby that engages me not only with the birds but fellow fanciers. Eleven days in and still testing positive, I can still catch up on the news via email! Two bright spots have been my weekly copy of Cage & Aviary Birds and the new handbook of the International Gloster Breeders Association.
