A year in the making...

It’s finished! At the beginning of 2021, I started hand sewing a temperature quilt. I had seen many versions from around the world on Instagram. It was lockdown, so I thought I would go through all my leftover fabrics from other projects and on Instagram and at). I was a bit anxious; I had always hand quilted but, between us, we agreed on a pattern. I am delighted – all I had to do was bind it and it was complete. It was only when it was finished and I walked to the beach at the end of my road that I realised how the colours reflected my environment. A lovely, unplanned revelation. My current project is Irene Blanck’s ‘Orange Sherbert’ from issue 77 of. I’m hand quilting that one, I’ll let you know how I get on!
