Thanks to the sheer number of camera-toting drones on offer, there’s never been a better time to take up aerial photography or video; but UK and US laws mean that Brits and Yanks can’t legally fly many of them in ‘residential, recreational, commercial and industrial areas’ - ie, pretty much anywhere - without a license and/or registration. The only solution is to buy a drone that’s under 250g to avoid the restrictions. Hence the DJI Mini
