Holding a cup of tea between my hands, I tried to stop my heart beating out of my chest.

Across the table from me, sat the woman of my dreams – the woman I’d longed to be with all my life.

Her name was Iris.

We’d lived in the same town when we’d been younger and I’d always had an eye for her.

Trouble was, she’d set up home with someone else and I’d been in a relationship.
