Over 150 birds benched at the Western Counties specialist and rare show

CORNWALL BS

ON JUNE 26 the Cornwall Budgerigar Society hosted the Western Counties area specialist and rare variety show in Camborne. Over 150 birds were benched from across the region giving Steve Cox, the judge for the day, plenty to think about. He commented on how high the standard was and made special mention of the great hospitality shown by the club and of course the obligatory pasty!

Members of the club also competed for the coveted Dennis Curtis memorial cups, and these were won by Arthur Piper, Malcolm George, Alan Moreton, and Steve West, respectively.

The next club meeting will be on July 29 at 7.45pm
