KICK-OFF: Daniel, you’ve just left a club you represented for a large part of your career. What are some of the take aways from your time with Kaizer Chiefs?
Daniel Cardoso: It was a positive stay. I met so many great players, coaches and just good people in general. I got to play in so many competitions, would have loved to stay longer and try to complete 10 years but you know all good things come to an end It’s one of those things, I have to accept.

Yes, I was a striker at all the development clubs I played at. Scored lots of goals. Then when I was at Wits Boys with Eric Tinkler and Roger De Sa, they transitioned me into a defender but I’m not sure why though. So, I broke into the PSL as a defender and not a striker [laughs].
