DISQUALIFICATION for “clear and flagrant disregard” for rules and changes to the way jockeys use the whip headline changes to racing’s whip rules.

The rules strengthen measures and mean the whip may only be used in the “backhand” position (see image) with a few exceptions where it can be used in the “forehand” grip, for safety reasons
