OFTEN use the word dynamic when I’m writing about wildlife. However, it doesn’t mean go-getting or over-achieving. The other, lesser-used definition of dynamic means ‘a process or system characterised by constant change, activity or progress’. This describes how things change from year to year, and it’s a bit like climate and weather. The weather is what’s happening on the day, but climate describes the general weather patterns.
