Art is in Shanan Campbell’s DNA, and it fills her earliest memories. By nature and nurture, it was clear art would be her path.
When she was a little girl, her father — none other than famed Cheyenne jewelry artist and former U.S. Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell — would always take her with him to his art shows and festivals. For her naptimes, he’d lay a blanket under his booth’s table for Campbell to sleep on.
It was through these formative childhood experiences that the young Campbell fell in love with art and soaked up everything the colorful and competitive atmosphere could teach her. She learned early on that it wasn’t making art that was her passion. What set her soul on fire was bringing art to the world.
