NEW MOBS!
New mobs are always a fun addition to any content update of Minecraft, and this time there are no fewer than four!
ALLAYS
This new helper mob can be found imprisoned by pillagers in mansions and outposts. They can be instructed by the player to find and collect items that have been dropped in the world and return them to their master. They have 20 health points and also enjoy dancing and music – check out our two-page feature elsewhere in this issue for more details!
At present you can’t spawn allays, but watch out for update version 1.19.1 (Java) and version 1.19.10 (Bedrock) – the plan is that giving an allay an amethyst shard while it’s dancing will cause it to clone a second, new allay.
WARDENS
Finally added to the game after a long wait, the warden is a terrifying sightless mob that hunts using sound – so you’d better stay quiet nearby!
Found in ancient cities and the deep dark biome, wardens emerge whenever a sculk shrieker is triggered four times.
Wardens have 500 health, inflict the Darkness status effect on you to stop you from escaping easily, and have super-strong attacks. If you see one, your best hope is to run and hide! Luckily,
