The king of the gamebirds is famous for its silent flight and speeds of up to 70mph, so the chance to test your mettle on the moors is something to be cherished. A last-minute invitation to shoot over pointers during a lean season came from an old school friend, John Sugden, owner of country tailors and outfitters Campbell’s of Beauly. Awarded a Royal Warrant to HM The Queen as tailors in 2017, this year Campbell’s received a warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales as tailors and tweed mercers. When not busy fitting estate teams with their new tweed, Sugden can be found pulling salmon from the river, stalking on the hill or game shooting with his five-year-old cocker, Sula. His
