“REMEMBER WHEN”

Bad Wolves

GUITARIST DOC COYLE crafted this highly appealing modern metal song’s rhythm and lead parts using an unusual 7-string tuning of Csus4 (low to high: G, C, G, C, F, G, C). This is essentially a whole-step-down transposition of the popular 6-string “DADGAD” tuning with a low A added on the bottom string (“A-DADGAD”). As is customary, we’ve transcribed the song thinking in the more player-friendly non-transposed tuning, with the understanding and indication that everything sounds in the key of C minor, down a whole step from what looks like and is written as being in the key of D minor.
