SCARE WITHOUT SPLATTER

S horror specialist Sliced Up Press is looking for short stories and poetry ‘that terrify without a single mention of. Deadline for submissions is 31 July. They want to be terrified without the associated gore, grue and guts. Characters may still die in horrific ways if they die, but the team ‘want writers to challenge themselves to write something where blood and guts are suggested, happen off-screen, or are otherwise worked around creatively.’ How about psychological paranormal, or even no blood at all? Any time period or setting is welcome, ‘on Earth or not’.
