WAVE GOODBYE

There are more ways for an editor or agent to say ‘no’ to a manuscript submission than there are hairs on a dog. (A cliché, I know – but let’s live a little).

I’m sure you’ve already discovered their ability to set you back on your heels with an ego-scorching refusal. For the currently un-scorched among you, it goes with the territory. You’ve written your book, edited the bananas out of it and all you want is for someone in publishing land to give you a big, fat cheque. Failing that, a ‘yes’ would do nicely.
