o matter how many times you hit the water in search of fish a loose plan of attack needs to be devised around how you’ll tackle things from the get go. There’s an element of unpredictability that inevitably unfolds across the course of a day that has the potential to alter this plan but nonetheless it really is hard not to play out a fishing mission in your head before the boat has even left the ramp. It’s fair to say that nowadays many of these devised “plans” no longer involve the use of an anchor however and it seems this once frequently called upon device has succumbed to the label of an old school fishing method. From fancy electric motors through to highly detailed sonar equipment modern day fishing technology has really paved the way towards a plethora of anchorless options with the potential to produce far better results when called upon correctly. Sure anchoring still has and will forever hold its place on the fishing
