Robert Lichty, 1947-2022

We were saddened to learn that former Hemmings Motor News Assistant Publisher Bob Lichty died suddenly, on May 31, 2022. Bob was born March 28, 1947 and joined Hemmings shortly after its relocation from Illinois to Vermont in 1969. He assisted then-owner Terry Ehrich in handling the rapidly expanding Hemmings organization.

After his start with Hemmings, Bob spent the rest of his life inin Wisconsin, where he worked with the late David Brownell, who would eventually become editor-in-chief of and (the predecessor to ).
