Harvesting seeds from flowers and crops is a sustainable, frugal way to create an endless supply of your favourite varieties.
Many annual and biennial flowers will happily self-sow, too, so look out for familiar seedlings from the likes of foxgloves, poppies and cosmos popping up in beds the following year, as these can just be replanted in your preferred locations.
