A TUFF DECISION

■ Darren Melbourne conceived an arcade platform game for The Sales Curve based around a central character called and the lead character was a demolition droid. Chris Wild recalls the testers at SCi Southampton playing on the SNES on the day he was interviewed in Southampton for his programmer’s job. The game was due to be published by Ocean but by the time it was ready, that publisher had run into financial difficulties, and opted to pay SCi for the development, but not proceed with the cost of producing the cartridges and getting Nintendo to publish it.
