● In Spain, GENNARO GATTUSO took charge of Valencia. In Germany, Borussia Monchengladbach appointed DANIEL FARKE, and SANDRO SCHWARZ took over the reins at Hertha Berlin.

● Former Liverpool and Netherlands striker DIRK KUYT took his first steps in management by taking charge of ADO Den Haag, while MIROSLAV KLOSE was appointed by Austrian side Rheindorf Altach. Basle legend ALEXANDER FREI returned to the Swiss club as manager.

● In Belgium, took the Club Brugge job and   was installed at Antwerp, while left New York City FC for Standard Liege. Meanwhile, second-tier side Lommel SK hired ex-Arsenal centre-back.
