Simeone leaves legacy as unmatched collector

PHLADELPHIA — Neurosurgeon and accomplished car collector Dr. Frederick Simeone died on June 11 at the age of 86. He was the founder of the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, which included much of his own spectacular collection of important collector and racing cars.

Simeone was the chief of neurosurgery at Pennsylvania Hospital. He retired from medicine in 2008, the same year he opened his muscum.
