REINVIGORATED WITH FRESH INVESTMENT FROM TVS Motor Company, Norton Motorcycles’ fortunes have turned for the better. Norton claim that this new backing allowed them to go back to the drawing board and redesign the V4SV the way it was meant to be. The motorcycle was developed on the iconic Isle of Man TT mountain course and shares a deep connection with the famous racing event.
Norton have been very particular about the level of attention to detail that has gone into building the V4SV. Parts including the foot-pegs, levers and yoke have been billet-machined. To keep the motorcycle compact and weight in check, they have used a carbon-fibre fuel tank and carbon-fibre bodywork. The frame is a handcrafted aluminium unit polished to a mirror finish. Of course, the fact that it was designed and developed at the IoM TT mountain course only adds to the charm.
Powering the motorcycle is a 1,200-cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine that produces 188 hp at 12,500 rpm and a peak torque of 125 Nm at 9,000 rpm. Such power for a machine that weighs 193 kg (dry) promises
