As the cooking competition heads into its final weeks, just a handful of hopefuls remain in the running for the coveted $250,000 prize.
And at this point, it's anyone's game! “We have all learned so much throughout the season and I honestly think that any one of us could win it,” says Billie McKay of the race to the final cook-off alongside Julie Goodwin, Sarah Todd, Daniel Lamble and Keyma Vasquez Montero. “This competition is so fierce!”
JULIE: ‘MY BIGGEST COMPETITION IS MYSELF!’
She's this season's most high-profile biggest competition in this kitchen is, and always has been, myself, my nerves, my state of mind.” The show's inaugural winner says, “There's a certain amount of pressure on all the returning contestants, especially those of us who have businesses in the food industry. Our livelihood depends on our reputation, so it's a risk to put ourselves out there in public, not knowing what the challenges will be.” Still, it's been “a lot of fun” the second time around. “Meeting guest chefs on the show is one of the great privileges of being here,” the 51-year-old tells . “I was so inspired by Dave Pynt with the fire challenge. I loved meeting Rick Stein. And being in the room with legend Clare Smyth was surreal.”
