Great news from Gloucestershire, where the world’s rarest goose has hatched chicks at Slimbridge Wetland Centre! The nene goose, so-called for its distinctive ‘nay-nay’ call, was near-extinct in the 1950s, but conservation work has boosted world numbers to 3,000.
