MATERIALS
• Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
Scraps of assorted colors
6 oz each black and burgundy 1½ oz claret
• Size J/10/6mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
GAUGE
6 sc and 5 ch-1 sps = 3 inches; 6 rows = 2 inches
PATTERN NOTES
Afghan is made in 5 panels of scrap stripes. On panel 1 of stripes, work right to left, then alternate direction on each of the remaining 4 panels.
Stripe panels run horizontally across Afghan. Panel 1 is at the bottom and panel 5 is at the top.
When changing stripe color, work on opposite side of last row worked so that right side and wrong side alternate with each row across.
