Masterpieces of the West
ON JULY 23 paintings and sculptures by some of the best artists of the West will take center stage during the 37th annual Coeur d’Alene Art Auction in Reno, Nevada. This year’s sale includes several rare and first-time auction arrivals by historic and contemporary masters.
There will be, depicting a soldier shooting a buffalo at close range, will be available with estimates of $400,000 to $600,000 each. Four pieces by Remington will come to market, with the 18-by-28-inch grisaille (est. $150,000-250,000), from a prominent Nevada collection, being the standout.
