Decadent dogs

ummer calls for outdoor fun and nothing fits better than a gourmet hot dog. Are we started as a food cart on 16th Street Mall and is now a famous restaurant in LoDo with stands at Coors Field and Mile High Stadium featuring a selection of exotic sausage meats such as bison, ostrich and rattlesnake. Toppings range from fresh fruit, hot peppers, cactus and wasabi aioli—the options are endless. Even more impressive, Biker Jim’s received the stamp of approval from Anthony Bourdain when he visited during the restaurant’s opening and raved about the insanity (and creativity) of the hot dogs. “Jack-a-lope is really fun and the All Beef Wrapped in Bacon is a kitchen sink dog,” says Founder and Owner Jim Pittenger. “There are 14 different hot dogs on the menu, all unique in their own way.” Biker Jim’s brick and mortar is a block away from Coors Field. “Any day is cause for celebration when you’re near Coors field!” And we agree. These hot dogs are definitely a win-win.
