    Flowers are beautiful subjects to photograph – vibrant colors, interesting textures and different shapes make for stunning images. But getting great shots of flowers does take some knowledge and skill. In this article I’ll run you through everything you need to know to successfully photograph flowers.

    CAMERA GEAR

    A camera with interchangeable lenses and manual controls is the best option for delicate flower photography. But, as with all photography, it’s the lenses that make the most difference to your shots.

    Any lens you use for flower photography has to be able to capture good levels of detail. This is why the ideal lens for flower photography is a macro lens, which will offer 1:1 magnification and allow you to get extremely close to your subject.
