Heaving myself from my wheelchair onto a hospital bed, my legs dangled over the edge.
My partner Andrew, 58, and the sonographer helped to swing my legs up, propping me up with cushions to get me into the right position.
As the sonographer squeezed cold jelly onto my tummy, I shuddered.
But when Andrew and I saw our baby on the screen, it was all worth it.
Hearing its heartbeat thumping away, I felt butterflies in my tummy.
