Tech to impress

Laurence Mead, Regatta Director at Cowes Week likes to call the event “196 years young” and the “world’s most technically advanced regatta”. So, is there truth to that bold claim or not? He likes to say that the goal is “world class regatta racing” and trying to manage 700 boats over 40 different races every day certainly does require a different approach to your average boat race if that goal is going to be met.
