One of the problems associated with having target shooting as a hobby is how very disappointed we tend to be when things do not go as planned.

Recently I attended another 55-yard indoor shoot. Bearing in mind that I have managed to win one or two of these events with good scores, one of which was a 229, I felt deflated when it became apparent I scored the lowest with a 188. Still, unlike the days of old when a similar performance in an HFT comp would result in me not talking to people for days, now it just reminds me that we can all suffer a difficult day.

And let's face it, it doesn't really matter
