Hi Hayley, what events led you to discover stitching and embroidery?

I was introduced to cross stitching when I was about 12 years old when my cousin Kathryn, an accomplished needlewoman, gave me a Jane Greenoff cross stitch kit. Kathryn patiently showed a very clumsy 12-year-old how to thread a needle, how to do a loop start and how to follow a chart – all of which I found mesmerising! The design was tiny – less than 40 x
