A NEW STUDY has revealed that the Chinese penduline tit (Remiz consobrinus) buries its eggs to prevent them from falling out of the nest in strong winds.
Dutch and Chinese biologists studying the penduline tits were aware that polygamous Eurasian) bury their eggs because of sexual conflict, but they found that the closely related Chinese species has a different reason.
