THE AIA AWARDS OVER $140,000 TO SUPPORT ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS
The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) has supported archaeological research around the world since its founding in 1879. Each year, we award more than a dozen grants and fellowships to deserving scholars and students. The awards support archaeological fieldwork, publication, and site preservation. Below are the winners of the AIA research grants and fieldwork scholarships:
Vanessa Muros of the University of California, Los Angeles, was awarded $4,000 for her project, Testing the Efficacy of Low-Tech Methods for the Identification of Pottery Residues in the Field, which she will conduct at the Ancient Methone Archaeological Project in Greece.
