TOMORROW week (Friday, June 17) Leicester EBA holds its 50th anniversary celebration.

It was on June 15, 1972 that 38 former boxers and supporters met at the Jolly Angler pub, and the Association was launched. Numbers grew steadily, reaching a peak of around 160 in the 1980s – not so many now, but Leicester are still going strong.
