The season in Sardinia has finally begun. Recently, sovereign wealth fund Qatar Holding signed an agreement to buy four hotels on the island’s Costa Smeralda for an undisclosed sum: Hotel Cala di Volpe, Pitrizza Hotel, Hotel Romazzino and Cervo Hotel will continue to be managed by Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. The transaction also include Porto Cervo Marina, home to the which will connect Olbia with London Stansted and Manchester in addition to the new Volotea connection from Deauville to Olbia. The Condor carrier will also connect Olbia with Stuttgart, thus expanding the network for the German market.
