Job done!

All good ideas start with a dream. My idea was to be involved in motorcycle racing with a replica Suzuki TR750. My brother Rex and I started this project in 1984. Family came along, then a shift to Jameson, so the project was stalled until 2017.

I heard about a company in Canada who made the correct frames and everything required to build a bike. A phone call, some cash and the kit was sent off – it didn’t arrive. Someone in New Zealand has ordered the same kit and the agent for the New Zealander thought he had bought two. Finally it turned up and we were into it straight away.

When it was ready to ride, we took it to The Bend, where it clocked 260km/h and still had room for more acceleration. When you are 70, you have a lot of self-preservation, so a young talented rider was needed.
