ctor Idris Elba was recently a guest on on Sirius XM in April and while promoting on the show he said that cannabis helped him pay his bills early in his career. He shared that selling weed was just one of many side gigs he embraced in order to get by after he moved to the U.S. from England. “I used to sell weed,” Elba said on . “I did that for a little bit just to, you know, help pay the way.” Elba also listed that he was a DJ and a doorman at Caroline’s Comedy Club in New York, the latter of which is how he connected with a fellow comedian with weed. “David Chappelle remembers me ‘cause he used to buy weed from me. Anyway, moving on. But yeah, I did all kinds of things, to be honest,” he said.
