In the Eyes of a Monster

Luxury fashion house Moncler joined forces with Gentle Monster to release the Swipe collection. Informed by futuristic designs, the collection embodies the latter’s eyewear brand’s experimental spirit and its outlook on the societal perception of emotion in the digital world, combined with the former’s sartorial savoir-faire. The main highlight of the collection is a series of sunglasses in four different silhouettes, including polygonal, oval and square, all equipped with lenses that provide 99.9-percent UV protection and are emblazoned with the co-branding metal insignia. The collection also features a range of ready-to-wear pieces. To celebrate this collaboration, the duo has launched a pop-up space in Gentle Monster’s HAUS DOSAN flagship store in Gangnam district, Seoul.

Vacation Club

British clothing brand Orlebar Brown welcomed this year’s summer by collaborating with pop duo Wham! for its latest capsule. Inspired by the summer outfits and swimwear of the ’80s, the collaborative creation is called “Club Tropicana,” named after the duo’s famous post-disco track. The collection is informed by colors and motifs illustrating a sunny day in a tropical setting. A troupe of fresh pineapples, papayas and other tropical fruits find themselves printed on capri collar shirts, T-shirts, bathrobes and scarfs. Blue denim also makes its appearance in the collection, matching well with the red-and-white geometric pattern found
