SOME CAR PHOTOGRAPHERS ARE rabid car enthusiasts. Tom Salt, not so much. For most of his career he’s made a living from shooting everything from Abarths to Yugos, but his fascination is not with the cars themselves, rather with the places they can take you, the people you can meet in them and the adventures they can take you on. He refers to this cocktail of opportunities as the ‘potential’ within the car, and during his career he has actively sought out jobs likely to unlock that potential.
