FOR many British businesses a Royal Warrant is the ultimate accolade. To display the words “By appointment to Her Majesty The Queen” is a cast-iron endorsement of your products and the services you provide. There are around 850 warrant-holders in total, a diverse group of companies of varying sizes covering all aspects of life in the royal household. Many are equestrian-orientated, as you would expect of a monarch who is a lifelong lover and champion of the horse.

Chris Hunnable, whose wife Katie Jerram-Hunnable produces The Queen’s show horses, has recently taken over the management of Schnieder Boots from his stepfather Rudolf Schnieder, who received a Royal Warrant from The Queen about 20 years ago.
