The Latino population in St. Louis has grown by almost 50 percent over the past decade, the 2020 census shows—but are the newcomers and the region ready for each other? The language barrier can be difficult for Spanish-speaking Latinos registering their children for school, communicating with medical professionals, or locating materials regarding elections or health care. And for Latino professionals who move to St. Louis, finding a community can feel overwhelming.
