CRONIN IN CHARGE AMID PRYCE WOE

On the first round of the season in April, just tenths of a second split leading runners Osian Pryce and Keith Cronin on the Tarmac lanes of Essex. But several hundred miles north in the Scottish Borders, Cronin was in a league of his own to take a commanding 36.2-second victory – marking himself out as a real title threat in the process.
