Film archive celebrates Queen’s 70th jubilee

The British Film Institute (BFI) has launched a collection). The new collection, created to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, includes more than 50 films, from Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 to George V’s Silver Jubilee in 1935 and the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977. They depict local communities celebrating in towns and villages across England and Wales, in addition to the monarchs themselves. All of the footage can be viewed for free.
