Q I’ve had diarrhoea for weeks and a poo sample shows giardia. What is it and how did I catch it?

Giardia is a microscopic parasite and has a tail, which it shakes to move itself along. It attaches to the inside of your stomach and jejunum, the section of bowel just after your stomach, and produces eggs
