‘It’s amazing and exciting – I’m feeling really motivated’
ADAM and Jessica Botham are embarking on a very exciting journey. For many years, the couple have built a reputation as producers of some of the finest young horses in the country – prolific five-star winner Quiet Easy 4 and Olympic contender Backatorps Danny V are just two of the world-class horses who started life in their hands.
As well as having a laser-sharp eye for equine athletes, the pair are formidable competitors on the national circuit but, in common with many riders, selling horses has been necessary to pay the bills.
However, there’s been a significant shift in the focus of Team Botham recently and their motivation is now honing in on the upper end of the sport. The purchase of the very exciting young stallion Ebanking in 2020 proved pivotal; former banker Barbara Hester invested in this potential superstar and has gone on to provide further backing, meaning Adam has rocketed into 2022 with an enviable string of potentially top-class horses.
