SUFE GETS NEW DEAN

Liu Yuanchun, former Vice President of Renmin University of China (RUC) in Beijing, has become the new head of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE).

Born in Sichuan Province in 1972, Liu started his academic career at the School of Economics at RUC where he obtained his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees. Since then, he has been dedicated to teaching at RUC: first as a lecturer, then as associate professor, and later as tenured professor and Ph.D. supervisor. In November 2016, Liu took office as vice president of RUC.
